The fuel surcharge component for CriticaLog India Pvt. Ltd. is subject to monthly adjustment in the average fuel cost index of four metros – Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai & Mumbai.
The average fuel cost is calculated based on the recurring cost of previous six months from the month it is assessed. For example, fuel cost for the period of July-December is considered for calculating the average fuel cost for the month of February.
FORMULA
If average fuel cost is > ₹ 65 per litre = [32.5 + {(Average fuel cost) – 65}] %
If average fuel cost is ≤ ₹ 65 per litre = 32.5 %
Note: Base FSC percentage fixed at average fuel cost of ₹ 65 per litre as 32.5 %
EFFECTIVE FROM | AVERAGE FUEL COST | FSC % ** |
December 2019 | ₹ 68.04 | 35.54 % |
January 2020 | ₹ 67.97 | 35.47 % |
February 2020 | ₹ 68.33 | 35.83 % |
**For each ₹ 1 increase in ‘Average fuel cost’, proportionate increase of 1 % from base FSC percentage is applicable
Refer the below example:
- If the average fuel cost calculated is ₹ 68.36 for the month of January, then the corresponding FSC percentage will be 35.86 % (i.e., {32.5 + [68.36 – 65]} = {32.5 + [3.36]}).
- In case the average fuel cost calculated in the month of February has decreased to ₹ 67.40, then the FSC percentage will be 32.90 % (i.e., {32.5 + [67.40 – 65]} = {32.5 + [2.40]})
