Business Development
He / She will articulate the company’s revenue and growth targets for the Region together with the Regional Manager. The purpose of this role is to create a stronger market presence of CriticaLog by acquiring new customers and develop stronger relationships with existing clients. It includes generating
leads, drawing up solutions, preparing and offering commercials, closure of business deals, leading team development, implementing marketing strategies and customer service.

Key Responsibilities include:
✓ Obtain profitable results, develop business plans – covering revenue, cost and expense controls,
meeting agreed targets, and increasing the share of business.
✓ Identify, establish and manage multi-tier relationships across customer and organization to ensure a
long-term business partnership and achievement of corporate goals.
✓ Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customer accounts.
✓ Lead and manage customer presentations and proposals.
✓ Establish clear understanding of customer expectations and requirements.
✓ Provide customer-centric service and mitigate business related challenges.
✓ Plan & co-ordinate activities and programs to retain and develop sustaining sales revenue.
✓ Develop and manage after sales strategy for existing and new customer accounts.
✓ Ensure that all business development activities are in accordance with the guidelines of the
CriticaLog’s Business Code.
✓ Establish business objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for assigned
territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
✓ Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand,
changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
✓ Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
✓ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing
professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
✓ Support the development of overall relationship between the organization and its customers.
✓ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
✓ Prepare and present tenders / proposals. Take active participation in contract negotiations and
renewals, taking account of the impact of changes suggested by customers on financial and
commercial concern that needs to be addressed with the customer.
✓ Continuously research and analyze customer activities, identify trends / significant findings, report
and advise on the same.
✓ Make detailed written and oral presentations to management on business / contract profitability,
with proactively working with Regional operations and finance teams to improve margin yield on
existing contracts.
✓ Liaise with a variety of management and staff within CriticaLog to evaluate avenues of business
development.
✓ Develop and maintain a commercial data base in line with organizational requirements

Specific Knowledge:
Language Skills: Fluency in English, Hindi and preferably one local language.
Technical Skills: Good operational knowledge of Express Industry (both Air and Road). Good commercial sense and business acumen; with hands on experience in Sales Management & Sales Administration.

Communication: Influential and Persuasive verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

Other competencies: Excellent people-management, leadership and analytical skills; should be able to manage large Customer Contracts. Must be capable of developing and nurturing long term customer relationship
